Found out my old boss's repair logs were the real goldmine
I was digging through a box of floppies from a shop I worked at in 2004 and realized one of the techs logged every single motherboard failure with the exact capacitor brand and batch code. Cross-checked it against my current bench stock and found 3 bad runs I'd been fighting for months without knowing why. Anyone else keep old paper logs or notes that still save the day?

Did those batch codes match up with any specific date or vendor shifts in your old logs?
