Got a 3x speed boost just by switching my thermal paste last Tuesday

I swapped out the stock paste on my 5-year-old Dell Optiplex for some Arctic MX-6 and my Cinebench scores jumped from 4200 to 13800 overnight. Has anyone else seen that kind of jump from just a paste change?

Double check your CPU cooler mounting pressure first. That kind of gain usually means something was loose before you pulled the heatsink off.

Yeah that's a straight up motherboard or CPU issue more than paste doing the heavy lifting.
