Pro tip: switched from canned air to a datavac blower for dusting towers last year

I used to go through like 3 cans of compressed air a day on big jobs but after dropping $70 on that electric blower I can clean a whole server rack in 10 minutes flat, has anyone else made the switch or do you stick with canned air?

Oh man, the datavac is a total game changer once you get past the upfront cost. I used to think I was saving money by buying the cheap cans in bulk, but then I realized how much I was spending on propellant and the cold air killing my hands in the winter. The only thing I'd add is to watch the static buildup on some of those cheaper blowers if you're working near sensitive boards, but the force of the air alone makes it worth it for cleaning out power supplies and heatsinks. For the price of a few big jobs worth of canned air, you basically get a tool that'll last you years.

Ha, tell me about it! I swear I've spent more on canned air over the years than I did on my first actual computer. The real kicker is when you forget the can is freezing cold and it feels like you just grabbed a metal pole in January.
