Can we talk about using a leaf blower to prep a slab before the pour?

Had a pour last month in Tulsa where the wind kept kicking dust back onto my forms, so I grabbed the leaf blower and hit everything right before the truck showed. It cleared 12 years of shop dust out of the control joints and the finish came out clean with zero pebbles popping up. Anyone else doing this or am I just making more work for myself?

Blowing dust around just coats your rebar and forms with the same junk you're trying to clear.
