358 days on site and that guy's been doing it his way the whole time. What exactly were you overthinking about them?

Man, I've been noticing this same pattern everywhere lately... people get so stuck on the "right way" to do something that they miss the fact that the person is actually getting results. Been watching my neighbor try to build a deck for six months because he's following every YouTube tutorial to the letter, while my other buddy just threw one together in two weekends using scrap lumber and it's still standing fine. Sometimes overthinking just gets in the way of doing.

Ngl I gotta disagree a little bit here. I've seen plenty of folks who do things their own way and yeah they get results but sometimes they're just stubborn and refuse to learn anything new. 358 days is a long time to insist you've got it all figured out when maybe you could have done it better or faster with some tweaks. I'm not saying you need to follow every tutorial but there's a middle ground between overthinking and just winging it forever. If someone's been doing the same thing for almost a year without ever adapting or listening to feedback that's not confidence, that's ego. Getting results doesn't always mean you're doing it the best way, just that you're getting by.
