Hit 50,000 square feet of stamped concrete last month and it broke my trowel arm
I've been doing this for 6 years and never pushed past 30k in a month before, but this big subdivision job in Fort Collins had me running nonstop. By the third week my wrist was so swollen I could barely grip the float, and I ended up missing a whole section of release on the last slab. Has anyone else hit a weird number that forced you to change your whole setup?

I used to think hitting 50k was just about grit and pushing through, but seeing your wrist swell up like that makes me wonder if it's smarter to cap myself around 40k and invest in better gear.

Funny you mention that, my buddy Dave tried the same approach last year. Bought a whole new setup, carbon fiber and everything, figured 45k would be his safe zone. First weekend out with the new gear, he slipped on some wet leaves and tweaked his elbow so bad he couldn't lift a coffee mug for a week. So now he's just got expensive stuff sitting in his garage while he ices his arm. Gear helps but sometimes the body just finds a way to rebel no matter what you spend.
