I finally hit 100 yards of broom finish in a single day

It was on a big warehouse slab in Kansas City last week, just me and one other guy. We started at 5 AM and finished the final pass at 7 PM. I always thought 80 yards was the max a two-man crew could handle without the concrete setting up too fast. The key was having the driver place it in perfect 10-foot strips, so we could stay right on the edge of the pour. That pace is not something I'd want to do every day, but it proved we could push harder than I thought. Has anyone else pulled off a number like that with a small crew?

Perfect placement by the driver makes all the difference.

You are SO right about placement making all the difference, @loganthompson. I had a guy last week who put it right up on the curb, tucked behind a tree. Saved me from having to drag the cans down a crazy long driveway. That kind of thinking is what makes a route run smooth.

My buddy's driver always leaves his bin by the mailbox post, which is a huge help with his steep hill.
