Gotta push back a little on the gimmick part, because laser screed tech has been solid on big concrete pours for way longer than that. 2019 was just when it started getting cheap enough for smaller crews to actually afford one. The guys running them back then knew they worked, most of us just couldnt justify the cost yet.
