Precast guy said my flashings would crack in 3 winters, he was right on the money
After 2 seasons with fiberglass corners on the same job site, number 4 of 7 split right down the seam last January, so I'm switching to the metal prefab corners next month, anyone else see the same failure pattern with FRP?

Heard a contractor buddy complaining about the exact same thing last month, fiberglass just cant handle real winters.

Read something similar on a building science forum the other day, someone posted pics of their fiberglass siding delaminating after two rough seasons. They said the real killer is the freeze thaw cycle, water gets in and then expands, turns the stuff to mush basically. Contractor in that thread swore by vinyl or even metal panels for that area, said fiberglass is more of a southern thing. Sounds like your buddy dodged a headache if he steered clear.
