Swore by my magnesium float for years until a job in Spokane last month

The foreman there made me try a poly float on a late afternoon pour, and I mean, the finish was way smoother with less sticking. I'm honestly still a little mad about it. Anyone else have a tool they were loyal to that got flipped on them?

Ugh, same! I was a die-hard metal trowel guy until I tried a plastic one on some tricky stucco.

Wait, you're a "die-hard metal trowel guy" who switched to plastic? That's like hearing a chef say they ditched their favorite knife for a butter knife. I can't wrap my head around it, honestly. Metal trowels just have that weight and flex that feels right in your hand, you know? But then again, stucco is a whole different beast. Maybe plastic is the secret weapon for that stuff, I don't know.

Die-hard metal trowel guy" is a way cooler title than I've ever had for anything (my loyalty is usually to a specific brand of cheap beer).
