Hit 500 posts on the UFO subreddit last week and it felt weirdly empty

I've been posting about the 1947 Roswell crash for years, you know, just debating the same old stuff with people. But when I hit post number 500, I realized I'd been arguing about the same three witness accounts for like 8 years. Has anyone else felt like they've hit a ceiling with a specific topic and it just stops being fun?

Eight years is a long time to bang your head against the same wall. I get that empty feeling when you realize it's just the same three guys' stories over and over again. I did something similar with the Betty and Barney Hill case. Hit maybe 200 or so posts about the star map and the same old details from the hypnosis sessions. It stopped being about learning anything new and turned into reciting a script at people. That's usually when I take a break and go lurk on the [skinwalker ranch](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skinwalker_Ranch) sub for a while. Nothing wrong with stepping away for a bit.

Man switching subs for a bit really helped me see the old stuff fresh again.
