I changed my mind about the Denver airport murals after seeing them in person

I was in Denver for a meeting last month and decided to check out the airport everyone talks about. I walked past the big blue horse statue and went inside to find those weird murals people call creepy. Honestly, seeing them up close, they just looked like normal art to me, maybe a bit strange but not evil. The one with the dead soldier and the kids holding swords was right by the baggage claim, and it just felt like a story about peace, not some secret message. Has anyone else gone there expecting something spooky and been let down?

Check the lighting, some spots make the art look way more intense than it is.

Yeah, piperwhite is right about people getting too deep. I mean, the lighting thing matthew mentioned is huge. I stood under one of the big skylights and the colors looked totally normal, then I walked ten feet into a shadowy corner and the same painting looked way darker and more intense. It's just how the building is built.

People get way too deep into this stuff. It's just paint on a wall. The artist probably had a theme in mind, but turning it into a global conspiracy is a stretch. Sometimes a weird mural is just a weird mural.
