I finally hit 365 consecutive days of logging my water intake
It started as a joke last year when I bought a $5 water bottle with time markers on it. I kept a note on my phone of how many ounces I drank each day, just out of boredom. Yesterday I realized I've logged 365 days straight without missing one. That's over 10,000 ounces of water total... has anyone else stuck with a random habit way longer than they expected?

Hold up, 10,000 ounces of water in a year? I had to do the math on that in my head and that's like 78 gallons or something crazy like that. Dude that's the kind of number where you start picturing those giant water cooler jugs stacked up in a room and it kind of makes your brain hurt. I tried to use one of those time marker bottles once but I left it at the gym for like three days and it got that weird musty smell you can never get out. Props to you for actually sticking with it because my phone notes app is just a graveyard of abandoned habits from the past five years.

78 gallons just sounds like a whole different kind of commitment beyond water.

Is it weird that I know someone who tried something similar? My buddy Tom got super into tracking his water intake a couple years back. He bought one of those gallon jugs with the time markers on the side, kept it on his desk at work. Three weeks in, he knocked it over during a conference call and it spilled all over his laptop. Fried the whole thing, had to buy a new one out of pocket. Never touched a marked water bottle again after that, just sticks to regular glasses now.
