My brother in Tucson finally got me to see the moon landing thing differently

We were watching a documentary last Tuesday and he said, 'The real conspiracy is why we believe it had to be fake.' He pointed out that thousands of engineers and workers would have had to keep quiet for over 50 years. That specific number, and the sheer scale of the lie, made it click for me. It's way more likely it happened. Anyone else have a family member change their mind on a big theory?

Totally get that. My cousin was deep into flat earth stuff until his pilot friend took him up and showed him the curve. Seeing it with his own eyes just wrecked the whole idea for him.

Ever have a friend who was sure 9/11 was an inside job? My buddy Mike was like that for years. He finally shut up about it after his uncle, who actually worked at the Pentagon in the cafeteria back then, asked him one Thanksgiving how exactly he thought they faked the cafeteria collapse and all the people he knew who were gone. The personal cost of the lie just didn't add up for him anymore.

That personal cost part really hits home.
