Rant: The Apollo moon landing footage just doesn't add up

I was at my buddy's place last Friday watching a documentary about the Apollo missions and they showed the original film from 1969. Something about the flag waving really bugged me, there's no air on the moon so how does it flutter like that. Then I noticed the shadows in the shots point in different directions which would be impossible with a single sun source. NASA claims they lost the original tapes but somehow kept copies that just happen to look staged. I'm not saying it was all faked but there's too many weird details to just brush off. Has anyone else dug into the specific shadow angles in those photos?

Didn't those cameras use a special slow-scan format that would change how motion blur works?

Wait, @james_singh7, are you saying I can finally blame my shaky hands on a camera format now?
