Serious question, I watched a 2 hour documentary on the moon landing and then a 20 minute debunking video. The short one was way more convincing.

Long videos can bury you in details that don't matter. The short clip cuts to the chase and focuses on the big problems. Andrew_palmer99 has a point about how a simple idea often feels more true than a complicated one.

Totally get that. Had the same thing happen with a deep dive on ancient Egypt versus a ten minute clip saying the pyramids were grain silos. The short one just hits different.

But that grain silos thing is just wrong, right? It feels true because it's simple, but it ignores all the actual evidence. So when does a short clip become just a catchy lie? Like flat earth videos are short and punchy too, but they're nonsense. Where's the line for you?
