The weirdest Tuesday I ever had working at a gas station in Tulsa
Last summer I worked the 3pm to 11pm shift at a Shell station off Route 66. That one Tuesday we had three separate people come in claiming they saw a weird drone hovering over the interstate at 4am. Then another guy swore his GPS showed a road that didn't exist on any map near the old air force base. By the end of my shift the register was short $20 and I couldn't explain it. Has anyone else had a day where everything felt slightly off like the town was glitching?

everything felt slightly off like the town was glitching" - that's exactly how it felt. I used to think people were just being dramatic when they talked about strange days, but then I worked a shift at a convenience store in Bartlesville a few years back. We had this old lady come in at 10pm demanding a pack of smokes that went out of production in the 90s, then the store clock started running backwards for about five minutes before snapping back. The morning guy said the register was $12 over when he counted it, which never happens. Never would have believed it if I hadn't been there myself.

@grace_knight70 that register being exactly $12 over is what gets me. Most places would just shrug it off as a mistake, but that specific number feels too clean, you know? I've talked to a few people who worked overnight shifts around here, and they all have stories about electronics acting weird during certain hours. One guy at a gas station said his receipt printer would jam up every night right around 2:17 AM, but only on Wednesdays. Nobody could explain it, and the repair guy said the machine was fine. Makes you wonder if there's some kind of pattern to these glitches, like the town's clock is running on a different schedule than ours.
