Watched a documentary on the 1996 TWA Flight 800 investigation and realized the official cause changed from 'center fuel tank explosion' to 'missile' in some reports years later.
I started cross-referencing the NTSB findings with eyewitness accounts from the Long Island coast, and the timelines don't line up. Has anyone else found a specific case where the official story just doesn't add up?

Yeah, the timeline thing with those eyewitness accounts is what gets me too. I remember reading how many people saw something streak up toward the plane. For the official report to just brush all that aside never sat right. It feels like they picked the cause that caused the least amount of questions.

That whole case is a mess. It reminds me of reading about that Malaysian Airlines flight a few years back. The official stories kept shifting so fast you couldn't keep track, and satellite data got real fuzzy.
