Our project manager in Denver tossed the paper daily reports and switched us to an app in April, and I have thoughts
Back in April, our PM in Denver told all the foremen to drop the paper daily reports and start using a tablet app for everything. I fought it for the first two weeks because my gloves don't work on a touchscreen and I kept fat-fingering the wrong fields. Last month I pulled up a photo of rebar spacing from a pour on March 8 that settled a dispute with the inspector in about 90 seconds. I still keep a paper log in my truck, but I'll admit the app saved my butt on that one. Now I'm wondering how many of you have ditched paper completely, or do you still keep a backup for when the wifi drops in the basement?
