Hot take: Hand-carving a jewelry box made me realize power tools are overrated
Just finished my first hand-carved jewelry box after months of weekend work. All the YouTube pros swear by power tools, but I ignored them and used old-school chisels. Yeah, it's got some wonky edges, but that's part of the charm. Fight me, but I think relying on machines takes the soul out of woodworking. This messy little box means more to me than any perfect store-bought thing.

Honestly, the wonky bits are what make it special.

Actually it's the good bits that do the heavy lifting. The wonky stuff just adds character, not value.
