I finally hit 100 five star reviews on my cleaning business page
It took me about 14 months to get there. I started my house cleaning company out of my apartment and for the first 6 months I was lucky to get one review a month. People would tell me they loved my work but just forget to leave anything online. Then around month 10 I started putting a little card on their counter before I left just asking for a review if they were happy. That bumped it up a lot. Has anyone else found that a simple reminder makes that big of a difference in getting reviews?

Those reminder cards work because most people just need ONE tiny nudge to do anything.

Went into this thinking people just needed space and time to make up their own minds about leaving reviews. But I actually tried asking someone for a review right after they told me how happy they were with the fix, and it worked way better than any card I left on their desk. The card would sit there for days or get lost in their junk pile. Now I just say something like "glad that worked out, if you have a second a review would really help me out" and they usually pull out their phone right there. Totally changed my whole approach to this stuff.

Did you ever try asking them while you were still there? I started asking my clients mid-conversation if they wouldn't mind leaving a review and it helped more than the card trick honestly. People just need that nudge right when they're happy lol.
