I made fun of my buddy's 10 year old rice cooker until it made me dinner

Was over at my friend Mike's place last week and he pulls out this beat up Zojirushi from 2014. Looks like it survived a war. I joked it was held together with tape and good vibes. Then he made rice for tacos and I swear it came out better than any pot I've ever used. Now I'm looking at my fancy Instant Pot different. How old is your oldest kitchen gadget that STILL works better than new stuff?

My grandpa had an old F-150 that looked like it was held together with duct tape and prayers, but that thing outlasted three of his neighbors' brand new trucks. Funny how the stuff we beat on the most always seems to be the most reliable.
