I spent $400 on a life coach and it was a total waste

I was feeling stuck at my job and saw an ad for a coach who promised to help me find my passion. I paid her $400 for four video calls over a month. All she did was ask me the same questions I could find online and told me to 'manifest' things. The last session, she just read quotes from a self-help book for 30 minutes. I felt more lost after than when I started. Has anyone else tried something like this and actually gotten real help from it?

Man, that's rough. I once paid for a "vision board workshop" that was basically just a guy telling us to cut pictures out of old magazines (which we had to bring ourselves, by the way). Felt like expensive kindergarten.

Wait, she just read quotes out loud for a whole session? That's insane, you paid for a podcast. I'm sorry that happened, it sounds like a total scam.

Have you checked if the platform you used offers refunds for unsatisfactory sessions? I once booked a similar service and found their policy allowed cancellations within 24 hours if the content wasn't as described. A polite but firm email to their support citing the lack of original material might get your money back.
