Saw a $45 'fat burning' gadget at the mall in Tampa and I almost bought it

I laughed it off for 6 months until my coworker let me try hers for 3 weeks and I actually lost 4 pounds just wearing it on my lunch walks. Has anyone else tried one of these or am I just out $45 if I buy my own?
