Tried both a digital and paper planner for 6 months, and the old way won big time.

I used a fancy app called Notion for my schedule, but I kept forgetting to open it. Switched to a basic paper notebook from the drugstore and wrote everything down. The simple act of writing it by hand made it stick in my brain, and I stopped missing appointments. Anyone else find that the simpler, physical tool just works better for them?

My brain needs the pen and paper to function, otherwise I'd forget my own name lol. The act of writing it down is the only way it gets through my thick skull. Digital stuff just feels like it goes in one ear and out the other.

But is forgetting an app really that deep?

Read an article that said writing by hand uses more of your brain than typing. Makes total sense why it sticks better. Paper just works for some things.
