Unpopular opinion: Buffet food tastes better cold at 4am

I work nights at a hotel in Orlando and last Tuesday the breakfast buffet was sitting out since 6am. I grabbed a plate of scrambled eggs and sausage at midnight and honestly it hit different. The flavors settle or something idk. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just weird from working graveyard shifts?

Lisa5 you're sleeping on a hidden gem though. Cold scrambled eggs are basically egg salad without the extra steps, so you're out here complaining about a delicacy. If the buffet has been out for 15 minutes and the eggs are still sitting there at room temperature, that's a different story. But a properly chilled pile of eggs on a cold plate? That's just efficient meal prep with extra steps. Worst case scenario you get a free detox from the food poisoning, build some character.
