Hit 50 burned dishes on my tally and had to step back from the stove.

I started keeping a note on my fridge of every meal I scorched beyond eating, and this weekend I crossed number 50 with a pan of blackened stir fry. Anyone else keep a running count of their fails or just me?

Wait, do you actually tally them up on the fridge or is that just for dramatic effect (not that I'd judge either way)? I lost count around fifteen when I realized my "charred chicken" phase was just my default cooking setting. Honestly, I think my smoke alarm has logged more burned dishes than I have, which feels like cheating but also kind of counts.

Ha, I love it! I've got a mental tally going myself but never thought to put it on the fridge - that's genius. My record is worse than yours though, I think I crossed fifty just from trying to sear steaks and ending up with hockey pucks. That blackened stir fry honestly sounds like one of those kitchen badges of honor at this point.
