Realized after burning three pans of bacon that oven baking beats stovetop every time

Tbh I spent 10 years fighting with grease splatter and uneven crisping on the burner, then tried 400 degrees on a sheet pan last week and it came out perfect with zero cleanup. Has anyone else switched methods for a basic breakfast item and felt dumb for not doing it sooner?

Saw a chef on youtube say oven bacon changed his life and wrote it off as clickbait. Tried it myself last week and yeah, it's a total game changer for anyone who hates scrubbing a greasy pan at 7am. Never going back to stovetop, it's just not worth the hassle.

My roommate in college used to make stovetop bacon at 2am after parties and the whole dorm floor would smell like a diner for two days. He'd leave the pan soaking in the sink until the grease solidified into this gross white layer that nobody wanted to touch. One time I tried oven bacon at a Holiday Inn breakfast buffet and it was so perfectly flat and crispy I almost asked the cook for his recipe. But I never actually made it myself until last month when I ran out of paper towels to drain the stovetop grease on. Now I'm wondering what else I've been doing wrong my whole adult life, like maybe I don't need to flip my pancakes every 15 seconds either.
