Found out my freezer is a leftover goldmine after 3 weeks of no shopping
I got snowed in for a stretch last month and ran out of fresh stuff fast, so I finally dug through the freezer drawers way in the back. Turns out I had a bag of chicken wings from a party, half a jar of pesto that froze weird, and some sad celery that I usually toss. I looked up on a random blog that freezing pesto in ice cube trays keeps it tasty for like 6 months, which I never thought about. So I defrosted the wings, tossed them in the pesto, and roasted the celery with some old breadcrumbs. It was honestly better than half the takeout I order, and I saved maybe $18 by not running to the store. Has anyone else found something in their freezer that changed how they see their leftovers? What's the weirdest thing you've revived?

Freezer cooking always tastes better than it should, but I’d rather spend the $18 on fresh ingredients than gamble on celery that’s been sitting that long. To each their own, but I like knowing what I’m eating isn’t a science experiment.
