Frozen chicken scam cost me $45 and a ruined dinner
I bought a big bag of frozen chicken breasts marked "individually frozen" for $12 last week. Got home and they were all stuck together in one big ice block. Had to thaw the whole thing just to get two pieces out, then the rest sat in the fridge too long. Ended up tossing $45 worth of meat because I couldn't refreeze it safely. Anyone else get burned by deceptive freezer packaging?

That happened to me last month with a bag of frozen chicken tenders. Supposed to be individually frozen so you can grab what you need, but the whole thing was one solid clump of ice. I tried banging the bag on the counter to break pieces apart and just ended up with chicken crumbs everywhere. Had to thaw the whole bag and cook it all at once, which was way more than I needed. The worst part is you pay more for that "individually frozen" label and it's clearly a lie.

cant believe you actually tried banging the bag on the counter lol, i can just picture the chicken dust everywher. that individually frozen thing is such a scam @the_nina, they know exactly what theyre doing with those labels. just adds insult to injury when youre already paying extra for the privilege.
