Just realized the fridge drawer is not a grave for forgotten veggies
Used to toss soft carrots and wilted celery straight in the trash every Sunday, but after a dismal paycheck week in March I grated them into a frittata with some old eggs and it actually worked. Now I do a quick 'use it or lose it' scramble every Friday, anyone else treat their crisper like a challenge instead of a junk drawer?
The "grave for forgotten veggies" line got me because that was exactly my crisper for years. I felt so bad tossing slimy bags every week and just assumed I was bad at grocery shopping. Your Friday scramble idea is great and I'm stealing it.
