My trip to Nashville made me rethink my pickle juice stash

Stopped at a random diner off I-40 last month and the cook said he adds leftover pickle juice to his mashed potatoes, which sounded gross but I tried it and honestly it's the best thing I've done with my brine since I started saving it 3 years ago. Anyone else got a weird use for something you normally toss that came from a stranger's tip?

Man, that's a wild one. Tbh I've done the opposite, a buddy of mine swore by adding a splash of pickle juice to his barbecue sauce for pulled pork. I thought he was messing with me but it gives it this tangy kick that cuts through the fat, so I've been doing it ever since. Strangers really do know some hidden gems.

Wait, pickle juice in BBQ sauce is actually a thing people do?
