Bought a $200 'professional' hair dryer that broke after a month of mobile work.
The cord connection inside just gave out, and the company said it wasn't covered because I used it outside a salon. Anyone know a truly durable dryer for on-the-go stylists?

My friend Chloe's Babyliss Pro lasted two years in her van before the motor died. It's like what bennett.james said, they just don't build them for real mobile use. She finally switched to a cheap Conair she grabs from the drugstore when it breaks.

That line about them not building them for real mobile use hits hard. So is the main problem just the cord connection getting loose from being moved around all the time, or is it the whole unit shaking apart from being in a bag or a van? I feel like we need to know what actually breaks first before anyone can suggest something that won't.

Ugh that's so frustrating, same thing happened to my wife's dryer lol. They really don't make stuff to last anymore.
