Client with 15 years of box dye went from orange brass to a soft ash blonde in 3 sessions, here's what I did differently
I stopped using 20 volume and switched to a bond builder plus 10 volume for the mids, and the difference in breakage was night and day, has anyone else had luck slowing down their lightening process like this?

Going slow with low volume is the move for sure, especially on long time box dye clients where you have no clue whats lurking underneath. Ive been doing 10 vol and bond builder on the mids too and the hair actually stays healthy enough to keep going.
