Got asked for a haircut in the cereal aisle last Tuesday

I was grabbing milk when a lady recognized me from the salon. She pointed to her split ends and asked if I could just snip them right there. I had to explain that scissors aren't allowed in stores, and we both ended up laughing. Now I carry business cards for such moments.

My local grocery store's cereal aisle is now officially a salon waiting room, I guess. The audacity to ask for split end removal next to the Lucky Charms is just BIZARRE. Like, do they expect you to whip out scissors and start snipping between the milk and eggs? It's a good thing you had business cards, because that situation needed a professional redirect. But seriously, what's next, a mani-pedi in the produce section? Some people's timing and location choices are just beyond me.

Carry a tiny pair of nail scissors in your wallet. If someone asks for a quick fix, you can politely say no and point them to a real salon. I picked up that trick after a weird moment in the frozen food section.

Those split ends won't fix themselves, a quick snip helps.
