I know everyone says to cut wet hair, but I started cutting dry for certain clients and it's a game changer.

I had a regular client with super fine, wavy hair who was never happy with her shape after a cut. Her hair would shrink up so much when dry that the wet cut looked totally different. Last week, I tried cutting her hair completely dry first, just to get the shape right where it naturally falls. I only dampened it after to clean up the ends. The result was perfect and she loved it. Has anyone else found dry cutting works better for specific hair types?

Totally, dry cutting changed everything for my curly clients.

Oh man, that's so true. It feels like we're finally figuring out that you can't treat everything the same way. Like with curly hair, you work with it dry because that's how it actually lives. I see it everywhere now, from how people cook different foods to fixing cars. The old one-size-fits-all method just makes a mess. Why did it take us so long to get that?

Right? I finally tried it on my own hair and let's just say my bathroom floor looked like a poodle exploded. Game changer though.
