My clippers died mid fade on a walk-in from Fort Worth, and I blame the $12 cord
The cord on my backup Wahl got yanked one too many times and the motor just quit halfway through a skin fade on Saturday. I finished the rest with a trimmer and a whole lot of patience, and the guy actually tipped me $10 for not sending him home lopsided. How many of you keep an actual spare clipper charged and ready, or am I the only one gambling on a single cord every day?
Man, I feel this. My uncle ran a shop for years and he had this old Oster clipper he called the "insurance policy." Kept it plugged in on a shelf for like a decade, never touched it. One day his main one crapped out on a busy Friday and he grabbed the Oster, and the thing sounded like a lawn mower but it cut fine. He swore by that setup until the day he retired. Two backups is one backup, that's what he always said.
