My foiling technique totally failed on a balayage client yesterday

I tried using that new foil-free method I saw on IG. Looked great in the video but on my client with thick hair it turned into a hot mess. Color bled everywhere. Had to start over after 2 hours and just use traditional foils. Felt super embarrassed. Anyone else ever fall for an online technique that didn't work in real life?

My friend tried that same hack and her client walked out looking like a tie-dye mess.

Did you at least save the photo for a good laugh later? I've been burned by those "simple" IG tricks more times than I care to admit, and it always sucks when you're standing there with a clock ticking.
