Picked the cheaper shampoo at the supply store and my clients noticed right away
I had to decide between my usual $60 salon brand and a $25 generic last week because I was low on cash. Went with the cheap stuff to save money, and three clients complained their hair felt dry and tangled after their services. Has anyone else tried a budget swap that backfired this bad?

Yeah "clients noticed right away" is exactly what happened to me. I used to think people were just being dramatic about cheap shampoo but nah, that stuff strips everything out. Totally changed my mind on cutting corners there.

Right, "strips everything out" is putting it mildly. I swear cheap shampoo leaves hair feeling like straw, (and not the good kind you make a scarecrow out of). It's like washing your hair with dish soap. I'm honestly surprised my old stylist didn't just fire me as a client when I showed up with that drugstore stuff. Now I'm paranoid every time I see a big bottle for under five bucks, I just picture a client's face falling. Lesson learned, (loud and clear).
