PSA: don't waste $200 on that fancy new hot air brush

I bought that big round hot air brush everyone's been raving about on TikTok for 200 bucks and my hair looked worse than my $40 Revlon one from Target. It just frizzed everything up and took twice as long. Anybody else get burned by those influencer tools?

Laughing at that price tag because I bought one too and my hair looked like I stuck my finger in a socket. @danielb43 nailed it with the cheap brush and regular dryer combo, that's what I ended up doing after my expensive mistake. The only thing those fancy tools are good for is making your wallet lighter. At least we can all bond over our frizzy hair regrets and the $200 lesson we didn't need to learn.

Sold my Dyson Airwrap for the same reason, just frizz city no matter what I tried. My secret weapon ended up being a cheap round brush and a regular blow dryer with a concentrate nozzle. Saved a ton of money and got way better volume once I watched a simple YouTube tutorial on technique.
