Am I the only one who saw the wind pick up speed on a pick and had to make a split second call?

Last Thursday in Gary I was flying a 200 foot boom over a parking lot when gusts jumped from 12 to 28 in about 40 seconds. Do you guys shut down right away or ride it out if the load is already off the ground?
