Am I the only one who struggles with crane signals in loud environments?
On busy sites, verbal signals get drowned out by noise. I started using colored flags along with hand signals to make sure the operator sees them. What do you guys do to improve signal clarity when it's noisy?

We used bright orange flags on my last site because the regular hand signals just vanished in all that racket. I once gave a stop signal the operator completely missed, and my whole life flashed before my eyes for a second. Anything that adds an extra visual layer is a total lifesaver. How heavy are the flags you're using, do they flap around too much in the wind?
