Found out the tallest crane in the US is working on a building in New York right now

I was reading a construction magazine at the dentist's office yesterday and saw a small article about it. The crane is over 1,200 feet tall and they had to build a special foundation for it before they could even start. It made me think about all the prep work we do that nobody ever sees from the ground. Has anyone here ever worked on a tower crane that needed a special base like that?

Honestly those docs make it seem way more complex than it is lol. It's just a big block of concrete, not rocket science. They kinda overhype the basic stuff.
