Hit 5,000 hours on my rig yesterday and the number freaked me out more than I expected
Logged 5,000 hours on the same 60-ton rough terrain crane yesterday, which is about 4 years of steady work at my yard outside Bakersfield. The number itself is whatever, but it got me thinking about how much of those hours I spent just waiting on cement trucks or a spotter who never showed. I keep a little notebook of signal goofs and pinched load lines, and flipping back through it, a good chunk of my close calls happened in year two when I thought I knew everything. Curious if any of you track hours per machine, and if your first big milestone number made you change how you run your setups.
