Spent $800 on a new headset and it's been a total game changer for site comms
My old radio was always cutting out, especially on a job last month in the downtown high-rises. I finally bit the bullet and got a high-end noise-cancelling headset, and now I can hear the signalman perfectly even with all the street noise. Do you guys think investing in top-tier comms gear is worth it, or is it just a nice extra?

Good gear just makes the daily background noise quieter.

My noise canceling headphones cut about 70% of the bus engine rumble on my commute. I read an article that said this tech works best for constant low sounds, not sudden ones. It really does turn down the world's volume knob. You stop wasting energy just trying to hear yourself think.

It's like a filter for all the low-grade stress we deal with.
