Blasting Beethoven's 5th over my brother's rap playlist

Last weekend I drove from Austin to Dallas and finally tested my theory. Buddy had his trap bangers dropping bass, I swapped to the full orchestral recording on my old CD. At 95 decibels on I-35, the violins cut through everything, even the road noise. My brother sat there looking dumbfounded, then asked me to play the second movement again. Anyone else find classical tracks hit harder on max volume than bass-heavy stuff?

Rap's just noise that rattles your trunk, but that violin stuff will put you to sleep before mile marker 200.
