Burned a whole tank of gas testing one weird volume trick on my commute
I read somewhere that cracking your windows about an inch on the highway cuts wind noise so you can actually hear quiet parts of songs at high volume. So for 5 days straight on I-35 between Austin and Round Rock I tested it at 80 mph with the same three tracks. Windows down an inch? Way worse, the buffeting just drowned everything out. Windows all the way up with the AC on low actually gave me the cleanest sound, and I could hear the bass line in the second verse of my go-to song for the first time in 2 years of driving this car. Anyone else messed with window positions to get better sound at max volume, or is it just me?
