Overheard a teenager say my driving playlist was 'dad core' and I'm not sure how to feel

I was picking up my nephew from his school last Tuesday and he saw my phone connected to the car. He told his friend my music choices were straight out of 2003 and called it 'dad core.' I mean, I still crank 'Float On' by Modest Mouse every single time it comes on. Is there a statute of limitations on your go-to max volume song or am I just old now?

Kids don't know what they're talking about half the time. Float On is a certified banger and always will be. If liking good music makes me a dad then pass me the remote and a cold drink.

that makes me the remote and a cold drink" lol thats perfect. friend of mine was at a party last summer and this teenager tried to roast him for playing Float On. he just shrugged and said "yeah, and?" kept dancing. kid got all flustered and walked off. sometimes the simple wins are the best.
