Question about blasting Beastie Boys in a school pickup line (yes, really)
I pull up to my kid's school in Clifton at 2:45 every day and there is one dad in a minivan who plays soft jazz the whole time. I used to be him. Then one day last month I left "Sabotage" on from my commute and forgot to turn it down, and the windows were cracked, and honestly the reaction from three kids in the back was worth way more than the dirty look from the crossing guard. Here is what people get wrong about car volume: they think the song has to be a classic rock anthem or some huge chorus thing. Wrong. It has to be a song where the opening riff or drum hit makes you grip the wheel, and for me that is the bass line in "Sabotage" at full blast with the bass knob up two notches. I know this because I have tested it in a 2016 Corolla with stock speakers, and the song still hits harder than anything on my wife's fancy playlist. What is your actual pickup line song, and do you turn it down when the teachers walk by or not?
