The before and after of driving with windows down vs AC on a highway is like night and day since I got a louder exhaust

It's funny how something as simple as rolling down the windows changes the whole feel of a song at 75 mph. Before I put a Magnaflow on my old Civic, I'd always keep the windows up and AC cranking because the drone was unbearable. Now though, I notice that around town with the windows down at 40 mph, certain tracks like Thunderstruck or even some synthwave just hit different. But on the freeway above 60, the wind noise kills the low end completely. My buddy swears by cracking just the back windows to reduce buffeting but I haven't tried it yet. Has anyone else found that perfect balance between wind noise and volume that makes a specific song sound better than through the speakers?

Read that wind noise cancels bass frequencies starting around 60 mph.
